Re-purposing empty bottles has always been something I have wanted to do and I decided to do it.

I thought this craft would be a great way to add a little splash of color in my apartment. It was super simple, so easy!

1. Wash and Clean Out Bottles:

Using the same cleaning method used in my previous blog post "Decorative Jars" wash bottles to remove excess label residue.

2. Spray Paint Bottles:

Next I spray painted my bottles white. You can paint them any color you like, you could even distress them a little after they are painted. Make sure you paint the bottles in multiple coats, you want to make sure the bottle is completely covered and that you can't see through the glass. For a solid color you should do at least three coats. I have found Rust-oleum to my favorite brand.

3. Decorate Bottles:

This is just an additional step. You don't have to decorate the bottles you can use them the way they are. I used ribbons in the accent colors of Details & Design by Drake to add a little bit of color to my white bottles. Add some bright flowers, and tada! Look how cute, this was such an easy way to add color and decor to your space.

There are a ton of way to re-purpose glass bottles this is just one way. Let me know what you think. Feel free to share with me ways you have re-purposed glass bottles.
